CD-zilla on the loose!

At last, my parcel arrived yesterday. Yeah! The content? Hehehe...
2 Dream Eze AIO Fitted size s (marigold & plum blossom) 2 Starbunz Pocket size m (monkey & cheetah - I like lion but no stock. This was on sale!) & 1 MPBBA size s. All from Tiny Tapir. And all are being wash for the 2nd time.

Oh and I also bought these mutts from Farrah.
2 NB Muttaqin Baby (thanks for the wipes Far..hehe..)

It arrived weeks ago but didn't have the time to blog. This diaper is very good in containing runny poops and sooo cute-but almost outgrown...hmmm more reason to shop for new ones. Heh!

Here's mini me doing a shot at modeling:
At 3 wks ++ wearing the dino mutt

At 4wks wearing the stripey mutt
(Excuse the blurry pics, I'm so not good at using the camera. Need to practice more...)

Aaand I'm still waiting for another parcel from MyCheekyBoo. Hehe, can't wait. Speaking of MyCheekyBoo, they are having a X'mas Give Away. Ho, ho, ho! It's in their blog. 2 lucky persons could win TWO Moo Moo Kow Diaper in their own choice of colour! Very cool, isn't it?

It would be great to win this diapers (hint, hint!) because I'm still building my stash...2 free diapers will go a long long way because I have exhaust my bank account..huhu..My choice of colour would be:
This looks unique. Blue buttons on white.

Red. I simply love red. Very christmassy.
(Both images copied from MyCheekyBoo)

Please, please, pleeaase...let me win this give away!

Bad advice on BF

So glad to be back at our own home. Spent the weekends at hubby's kg to celebrate my son's full moon. The party went great and I enjoyed seeing and "updating" with my friends after my long confinement. But what I can't stand is the advices given by well meaning ILs regarding BF. I don't mind the advices itself but the way they gave it yang bikin panasss. Like, they insist you to follow exactly what they say.

Here's some:

  1. This one from my MIL. The moment she saw me BF my son she said, "You should train your baby to drink from bottle (meaning formula) so that other people can babysit him." I just smiled. Hubby came to the rescue, explaining about EBM, pumping etc etc.
  2. One time I woke up my son to BF because my breasts were engorged and I did not bring my pump. Later on, the elder said that next time I should picit2 my breast first to kasih keluar some of the susu yang bangas. I was speechless. Breastmilk that is still in the breast can spoil meh! I never read this but logically thinking there's nothing wrong with BM no matter how long it stays in the breasts (if it's possible than all mom can produce cheese from their breast lorr). The only risk is your breast becoming painfully engorged and sometimes can lead to blocked duct.
  3. Than my SIL told me to give some water to my son. Which I totally refuse. And she was so unsatisfied that she repeat it again to my hubby. Luckily my hubby is so well informed (after hearing my "sharing" on BF). And he said, "No, we won't give our baby any water until he starts to eat solid". Hahaha, I win. But now I'm sooo nervous to let her babysit (hai, mana tau she give water oh).
  4. Now my SILs know how stubborn I am (yes, I may keep quiet and won't confront you or talk back but I won't do what I don't want to), they rally on my hubby. Kesian hubby but it's ok because he can answer back his own sisters. They keep pressuring to use formula milk. The reason? Baby more intelligent. Excuse me? Are you insulting me? Do you mean to say that MY breast milk will produce dumb baby? Just because FM is very expensive compare to BM, which is totally free, doesn't make it more superior. FM is man made. How can it ever be in the same league with BM?
  5. And they said that the rashes on my son's face is cause by my heaty BM. No comment.
Nasib baik my son is quite a big baby. At least they can not say that my BM is not enough. I'm so so thankful that my mom took care of me during confinement. She support BF 100%. Me and my siblings are all fully breastfed. I was breastfed until I was 4 yo because my little sister is 8 years younger than me. Aaand my mother, that never had any formal education, knows that fully breastfed babies don't need any extra water. Cool.

P/S: My ILs are actually great and I really do get along well with them. This is just a letting-off-steam session.

Confinement

I'm so lucky that my mom was able to come and stay with me for almost 3 weeks during my confinement. Actually she planned to stay for a month but something came up at kampung. But by that time I was okay staying alone while hubby goes to work.

Some part of the pantang-larang during confinement was really terrible for me. I hate that I cannot wash my hair for a month! But I managed to pujuk my mom to let wash my hair after 2 weeks. I mean seriously, who can tahan oh? Sudah lah that time the weather was so hot and then cannot berkipas-kipas again. Yuck! I also hate that I only can take a shower once a day-aaand had to use herbal bath that was very hot in the afternoon! And I absolutely hate that I was literally sweating all day...pheww. So glad that the 1 month is up.

Luckily I find that I can tolerate the food:
Breakfast - Porridge + milk
Lunch - Rice + herbal/ginger soup
Evening - Biscuits
Dinner - Rice + herbal/ginger soup
Supper - Biscuits + milk

The Food:

Ayam kampung masak halia

This is how my herbal soup using herbs below:

Hehe...Luckily I didn't get constipation even though I didn't eat any vege at all (because my mom believe that it's cold). But I'm still stuck with eating these food because my hubby want me to continue until 40 days. I want to eat some vegetables but I'm such a coward to not follow my hubby punya advice (nanti ketulahan sama laki, adakah?).

Full Moon (or New Moon?)

Gerard is 1 mo. This is him lepaking with the dad (excuse the dad's bellybutton-terescape from the black bar). Yesterday went to Dr Kuan for his hepatitis B shot. Luckily he didn't get fever after that, but definitely super clingy the whole night.

Current weight: 4.5 kg (gain 1.2 kg through mum's milk alone, yeah!)
Current length: 55 cm

Now, I'm through with confinement but the hubby still want me to eat rice & soup only. Ciss, lebih2 from my mom pula!

Will update later. Baby is crying la...

It's certainly is better!

Better by Boyzone

Our love has changed, it's not the same
And the only way to say it is say it, it's better

I can't conceal this way I feel
For all the times we've spend together
Forever just gets better

See what I'm trying to say is
You make things better
And no matter what the day is
With you here it's better

I'll stand by you if you stand by me
I think it's time that I reveal it
'Cause I believe it, it's better

See what I'm trying to say is
You make things better
And no matter what the day is
With you here it's better

Oh, the more I talk to you
I fall in love with everything you do, oh

See what I'm trying to say is
You make things better
And no matter what the day is
With you here it's better

Our love has changed, it's not the same
And the only way to say it is say it, it's better...

Can't get this song out of my mind. Very sweet indeed.

Hahaha...it's almost 2 am and I'm still awake. Just finished my peanut butter sandwich (using wholemeal bread la) and a mug of organic soy drink. Almost tempted to eat KitKat in the fridge but I know someone would be inventoring the chocs tomorrow. Not craving enough as to risk the long and winded nagging later on.

The hubby is fast asleep in front of the tv with the remote firmly in his hand. The wife is still surfing the net. The baby is having so much time kicking and wiggling inside mummy's tummy. Sometimes my ab feels keras2 and then I'll feel the need pee. Now.

Birth plan

First read Hypnobirthing from Farrah's blog when I was still in my 2nd trimester. Thought nothing about it. Last night as I was surfing the net (because I couldn't sleep due to the fact that I had hours of afternoon nap), I came across an article about Hypnobirthing (hypnosis for childbirth) in Baiboo.

It is basically a mind-over-matter technique to ease labour pains minus drugs. The intense pain felt is due to fear of the birthing process (no thanks to your mama friends or SILs that just looove to share their labour stories!) that causes the uterus muscle to tense. Hypnosis (which involves focused concentration) helps women to fully relax in order for muscles to work the way they are intended during labour. Mothers are to visualise having a calm and peaceful birth.

And so the plan would be:
  1. No panicking and rushing to clinic the moment my contractions start for real. Instead take my sweet time to take a shower and really clean my hair. Since kk specialist is not far from home, 8 minutes between contractions should be okay.
  2. Remind hubby not to panic.
  3. Upon checking in, must walk around while waiting.
  4. Have my "entertainment package" with me all time to help me relax and be comfortable.
  5. During labour, visualise the baby coming out gently into the world. Have total confidence in my own body's abilities.
My "entertainment package"

And if God's willing, I'll have a smooth labour.

Is it time?

How does a proper contraction feels like? I thought I was going into labour last monday. I woke up in the wee hour with this burning pain on my upper abdomen. It was cripplingly painful that you just can't even sit down. But nooo, apparently I am not anywhere near labour...cause I'm still here in front of my monitor.

It's been almost 4 days of having some on/off pain at my lower back, sometimes on my upper abs...and that's it. So I'm really hoping it will be soon, very very soon because I'm tired of going to work...and I'm losing weight but baby keeps getting heavier. Yesterday found out baby is currently 3.4kg! Blame that on my hubby - I come from small sized family so it must be his genetic and simply because I want to. Blame someone else. No way I'm going to blame myself.

And how come most people always assume that they have a right to comment on a parent's choice of name? Hey, I'm the one carrying this baby for 40 weeks, dealing with all the pain and sweet moments. So how come I don't have the right to name the little one as I wish? Huh? It's not like I'm choosing Gurangak or something (even I do, what's it got to do with you). Wait for your own baby la...Just save the "apa lah maksud dia tu?".

Something to give me comfort:

It came to me and I said, "OK, this is where I go now." I had diabetes while I was pregnant. I became huge. And I said, "This is what it takes for me to have the baby, and I really want it." Then you don't know if it's going to be healthy; you are completely out of control. So the experience really makes you humble.
( Salma Hayek when asked about her pregnancy)

p/s: that's not my tummy...mine does not look anywhere as beautiful as that.

Menghitung hari...

I have 12 days to go!!! Went to see Dr S on wednesday. After feeling my bump and scanning he told my husband " malam ni pun boleh sudah labour ni". Apa lagi my hub pun ternganga pucat nie...Haha so funny the expression. Hai, boleh juga duktur ni berjokes ah...

Me? Part of me cannot wait, if can I want to go into labour NOW. Sooo impatient already to see the little person. Another part so nervous la - how do you really know you are in labour? Some say like want to berak but cannot nie. Some say extreme lower back pain. And then ada yang got bloody show and water break. But lagi best jawapan Dr S: "You will know." Cess, thats all the answer I got after paying mahal2 ni...

Beauty regime

All my life I have always thought I have the oiliest skin ever! Everytime I purchase beauty products I'll always go for combination to oily or acne prone line. But my skin stays oily and at the same time you can see some fine lines. It looks dry but sooo shiny. Tried every product - from expensive one (Mary Kay, Clinique) to cheap one (Ponds, Garnier, Loreal). As for facewash I used Acneaid for a very long time.

Then when I got pregnant, my face become worst. It will seems so dry, yet oily at the surface and I was having breakouts. It went on until I was 7 months pregs (at one point I was contemplating on buying SKII products but sooo very the expensive for me la). Then one day I changed my facewash to this:
This really works on me. My face do not feel tight after washing anymore and it feels much more softer. And guess what? I do not look dry anymore and the surface oil is not so bad. The conclusion that I made: I have self-diagnosis my type of skin incorrectly. I don't have oily skin but the harsh products I used cause my skin to produce more oil.

Time to change all my products than. So these are the products I've been using for about 2 months:
Very good stuff. My skin looks sooo much better (of course I still have the occasional breakouts but it wasn't so bad anymore). Yahoo!
I try to used this scrub and mask at least once a week.

Another great product:
Minyak zaitun Safi

I've been using more than dozen of this minyak since I found out I was pregnant. I use it to massage my tummy, my bum2 and thigh. As for now, I'm still stretch mark free (touch wood!). Why use good ol' olive oil? It is much easier absorbed by skin and much much easier on the wallet. So if I am meant to have some stretch mark at any point in my pregnancy at least nda sakit hati sangat la...

Lesson learned: Great products doesn't have to be expensive.

P/S: I'm taking a day off today eventhough I just had a very looong cuti raya. The reason: I did not sleep well last night and woke up this morning feeling so tired...now okay sudah, can blog already ;)

To do list

Look what I got!
A few girlfriends threw a baby shower for me (it was in august actually but I was so lazy to blog) Thanks girls...Hehehe, my shopping list can be shorten now.

And a friend also gave this last week:
I was thinking of buying MAM bottles but we'll see.

And this arrive last friday:

My Ameda BP!

I've been enjoying cuti since wednesday (until 27th!)...hehe...but I must wash all barang2 baby aand pack my hospital bag. Yesterday I managed to wash my bag (yang dikorek2 di bawah katil dan dalam keadaan yang berkulat dan berhabuk itu...) and finally wash my ringsling (handwash, mind you!) Today managed to wash prefolds, towel and clothes. Yeah!

Still have tons of things to do but finally I can tick something off...
And tomorrow going back to Papar (ILs) to spend the Raya holiday...so there would be no internet, and nothing else to do but watch tv for 4 days. Sadly I won't be going to any open house this year because I do not think I have the strength to resist temptations (in the form of kuih makmur, biskut2 raya, rendang, lemang...aargh!). Rather than menelan air liur di rumah orang, I'll just stay at home lah.

But maybe I can persuade A8 to go shopping for some reading materials tonight...

And this is me at about 6 months:

This is how I look now (36 wks):

P/S: Selamat Hari Raya and Selamat bercuti everyone!

Craving?

This is what I've been craving for the past few days:
My own homemade pisang goreng!

Hahaha...I should have just bought at any stall earlier this week (and that was what hubby been saying eeeverytime). But I want pisang goreng with certain criteria only:

  1. Crunchy - bukan yang lembik2 and berminyak lagi tu
  2. Using ripe banana - sometime they use this pisang separuh masak yang sangat tiada rasa. I know this one suppose to be eaten with cecah sambal but I prefer to eat my pisang goreng as it is.
  3. Well done - boleh pakai ka untuk pisang goreng term ini? Ala, yang ada terbakar-bakar sikit.
So for this weekends, I cook pisang goreng for breakfast 2 days in a row using the banana given by my MIL. Ada ka orang mengandung mengidam masakan sendiri?

And this is a toy I want:
Janome 2049 (RM2499!)

A sewing machine? Hahaha must be going loco...

Hubby punya reaction: Betul2 ko mo jahit sendri semua baju ko ka?
Me: Kelip2 mata ja...

Haiii...cannot wait to deliver. I think I've been pregnant forever...but at the same time really nervous about delivering and being totally responsible with another human...am I nurturing enough? Can I really do this? Another 5 wks ++ to go...

Urgh...time to decide

One of the items in my shopping list this month is breast pump. I've listed 3 recommended brands: Medela, Spectra and Ameda. Spectra is definitely out because it's not battery operated - if time kerja teda karan, how? So at first I wanted to get the Ameda because the Medela that I want is way out of my budget.

After some research I found an e-store that sells Ameda Lactaline Dual for RM699 (for the pump only, no freebies) including shipping. Then today, I went to Happy Mums after my appointment with Dr S (BTW my blood sugar level is fine now, hooray!). And right now there are selling both Spectra (of course, I'm still not interested) and Medela PIS & Mini E Plus. Buying PIS would totally screw my budget for this month. But the Mini E are selling for RM799 (including 4 storage bottles, cooler bag, cooler and a bag to carry everything). I'm definitely interested with this one.

Then I made some research on the net and found out that Mini E is recommended for occasional use only (about 4 times a day) whereas Ameda is suitable for frequent use. But then if anything happen to Mini E, I could always go to Happy Mums or buy any spare parts there. Since I'll be buying Ameda from the net, it won't be that easy.

So, I'm still thinking about these:

Plan to visit survey Mothercare today, see if they are selling any breast pump. But hubby is still napping, so I'll just continue surfing the net first.

tick tock...tick tock...

Yikes! I'm in my third trimester. I have less than 2 months left...and I still have a very long list of lists-shopping list, to-do list, work related list, nursery list...and we still have not choose baby names. So much to do, so little time...

My blood sugar level is under control but Dr S is still not satisfy, he ask me to cut back on rice...so every meal is not so satisfying anymore. Do you know the feeling that you are not hungry anymore but there is some kind of void in your stomach? Eating lots of vege and fish just don't seem to fill that void...i miss my rice, waahhh! But on the bright side I don't have constipation anymore...hehehe

So far I have gain 10 kg. And my legs are not use to carrying all that extra weight. So most day my ankle would be swollen by evening. What with all those stair climbing, walking to classes and standing in class. But guess what, it's the school holiday! Hooray! I have one week of much needed break...aaanddd tomorrow is pay day! uuh bestnya. ada orang jeles ka?

Saturday, 1 August 2009

What a Bummer!

Went for my regular prenatal visit yesterday. Guess what? My blood sugar was 14.1 mmol/L...So had to fast last night and come back for another check up just this morning. It was still above normal which is 11.3 mmol/L (normal should be below 7.0 mmol/L after fasting). So the good doctor asked me to do a GTT (Glucose Tolerance Test) at the Gribbles lab....And I still cannot eat anything! (I was sooo moody during the test, even I wouldn't want to be in my husband's shoes)

Got the result this afternoon:

Time Plasma Glucose
Fasting 4.9 mmol/L
1 hour 9.5 mmol/L
2 hour 7.8 mmol/L

Would only be able to submit the result to my doctor on monday so I'm not sure what it means. But I did some research, and this is what the American Diabetes Association considers abnormal during a 100 g of glucose GTT (but I have no idea how many g of glucose I was given...)

Time Plasma Glucose
Fasting > 5.33 mmol/L
1 hour > 10 mmol/L
2 hour > 8.6 mmol/L

According to this info, I should be okay. But I find another site which says that I'm diagnosed as prediabetes. I have an Impaired Glucose Tolerance (120 minute blood sugar value of (or more than) 7.8 mmol/L).

So now, I'll have to watch my diet (aargh...no more toblerone!) and do more exercise...I guess have to pause the internet shopping and go bershopping-shopping di shopping complex instead. Also consider as exercise mah kan...

Hope everything would be fine...and for the first time in history, I can't wait for monday!

Home Alone

For the first time since we got married I'm home alone. A8 was sent to Labuan for work. He went early this morning and will be back on Sunday afternoon. So, tonight I'm left with my own company. I spent my afternoon watching SATC the movie because this is the only chance I can watch girly movie without any interruption.

As for meal my, I made this:

Hehehe...I made a beef burger! Just like yang kena jual di gerai burrrger Ramli (except I'm out of baked beans). I know it is not the healthiest food but I tried adding lots of raw onion (yummm...my fave) and some tomatoes on the side.

Anyway that was eaten hours ago...have to think what's for dinner.

Oh yeah, it's hari gaji! Hmmm...how do a girl with money spent their time ya? Hehehe...

Saturday, 4 July 2009

Another buy...

This arrived yesterday as I was lounging in front of the tv:

What's inside ya?

Tada!!!

It's the ring sling I bought from farrah (Actually I booked this almost a month ago). Hehehe...Took picture and cepat-cepat sembunyikan di guest room before A8 is back.

Hehehe...my secret stash so far. BTW, the 2 sets of baby clothes was given by someone as wedding pressies (hmmm...did I look pregnant then?)

Anyway don't want to hear ANY comment from A8.
The reason is that we have already bought these:

It's the 3-in-1 Halford system!
I would be needing the infant car seat for sending baby to nursery when I go back to work because I drive myself to work.

And this is the 4-in-1 baby cot. Can be use until child is 7 years old.

We are suppose to buy these later but Little Me was having a promotion. Jadi hantam sajalah, sooner or later have to buy juga kan...kan...kan...

Maka dengan itu, habislah sesi membeli-belah untuk bulan ini kerana duit tinggal cukup2 makan...uhuhu...

Friday, 26 June 2009

it's pay day!

Look what I bought today...Hehehe...

Diaper covers (2 Bummis-s & Thirsties-xs )

3 Wahmies multi purpose wipes (lavender tiedye, peach country charms & baby nap)

NE All Natural Vapor Oil

My first buy for baby...bought from miabambina

This was the first time I shop online (but it's COD). And my hand is still sooo itchy. Well, pay all bills first la.

To be continued...

Pantang-larang orang mengandung

When the news of your pregnancy starts to spread most people would gladly volunteer whatever 'tips' to you. Even your single or child-free friends will have one or two infos for you. Here are some of them:

  1. Jangan makan pedas-pedas nanti kulit baby nda cantik (ya meh, my mum says she ate lada potong-potong also ok ja) - spicy food is more likely to cause you indigestion.
  2. If you want your baby to be fair skinned, have a lot of soya drink - I never believe such a thing. Even when I had chicken pox at 16 I carry on eating kicap because I just don't see the connection of food with scar formation. In this case the skin tone is determine by the gene.
  3. Cold or iced drinks can cause miscarriage - also not true la; if its meant to be, its meant to be. My mum said because masuk angin. But my theory is that this only apply during zaman dulu-dulu when the global temperature was much lower than today. Now days, how can you tahan from drinking anything ping on a hot day oh? I try to drink warm at night, though.
  4. Do not buy anything for baby too early. This one maybe to avoid dissapointment because as you know the first three months is so critical. But some say only start shopping at least in your 7th month. Aiyoo, how can tahan oh...I'm going to start in my 6th month (a compromise with my mum).
  5. Jangan marah-marah and think happy thought. This one berguna untuk mengawal tekanan darah. But hard to follow all the time.
  6. Eating pineapple causes miscarriage because tajam. Huh? I don't know la this one, so many people say so. But mum said if your crave it just eat. And westerners say its good for digestion. Moderation is the key here.
  7. Jangan mengumpat, baby can hear. Hehehe...
  8. If you don't eat what you craved your baby will be salivating from born until toddler. Good excuse when I want to eat ice cream.
  9. If your tummy itch, it means that your baby have lots of hair - no la, I read somewhere that the strecthed skin is more likely the cause. But if you itch badly all over than better check with the doctor because it may be a sign of eclampsia.
  10. Do not go out at night. I think this one from dulu-dulu when there's no electricity and have something to do with makhluk halus. I follow this one when in kampung (I'm a scaredy cat haha!) but in KK I still enjoy the occasional midnite movie - the youngsters are more scary than the thought of ghost.
I forgot the rest la...to be continued when (or if) I remember them. So the most important thing to do is read a lot and just use your common sense.

2nd trimester

I'm about to enter my 3rd trimester, so I better record 2nd semester now:

Week 13-20
  • At this stage my boobs do not feel tender anymore (but still big, mind you! Hehehe).
  • Still visiting the loo often.
  • Still cannot stand the smell of garlic being fried.
  • Still do not like chicken (but sometimes crave Zinger burger *confuse*).
  • Can eat fried eggs.
  • More energetic to the point of difficulty in taking a nap (haiya!).
  • Not showing yet but feel so bloated and most clothes feel tight (this is the stage where my normal clothes do not fit me anymore but maternity clothes would be too big). I feel so blah during this time because looks like I gained weight instead of looking pregnant.
  • Still cannot feel the baby move (I don't even have any idea how it's suppose to feel like!). Feeling so worried and like a total freak because SILs were constantly asking about this. They were like, "Baru 3 bulan lebih pun boleh rasa sudah bah tu. Saya dulu...blablabla"... Ya, thanks a lot for making me lose some zzz over this! Pressured wor...
  • Week 18 - Dr S told us the gender of baby...hehehe still keeping this as a secret to most people.
  • Got easily irritated with people who overshare their pregnancy and labour experiences without being asked...Save your breath, I'll get there too, girls!
Week 21-24
  • Me and A8 can eat in by this stage (but he did all the cooking-without-garlic, mind you!)
  • Still full of energy and sometimes wakes up often in the middle of the night with no apparent reason. But no more strange dreams every night.
  • Start wearing new wardrobe by week 22 (yeah!). By this time I look pregnant enough for people not to accidently think that I'm gaining weight.
  • Finally can start to feel baby (hooray!)
  • Still cannot shop for baby because of pantang-larang orang tua-tua. Whatever la, layan ja...hai, cannot wait 6th month oh. So geram melihat barang yang kiut2 ituuu...

No progress

Went for my 5th adjustment this morning. Got bad news and good news.

Bad news: I would probably still be wearing my braces until next year. Before this, Dr R said I'll be archwired-free by the end of this year but today he changed his mind after seeing how slow my teeth are moving especially at the top.

Good news: Gigi saya keras dan kuat! Haha that's exactly what Dr R said.

Anyway had new power chain today. The tone of purple doesn't match with the old one. Aiyoo, my ortho have no colour coordination at all la...but never mind la...I'm not going to smile long enough for somebody else to notice anyway.

Photo time...Hehehe a little bit gross I know...

My bottom teeth:

This is how I look when I smile:

Still a looong way to go before the gaps are completely gone...hmmm...

Those three months...

I need to write down my 1st trimester experiences before they're completely zapped from my brain...

Only realised that I was pregnant on my 7th weeks. Never suspected before because after getting married my cycle went AWOL (not because I'm totally scatterbrained la...). Sometimes I'll be late for almost 3 weeks. After some false alarm, not forgetting money down the drain for buying pregnancy test kits (those kits are d**n expensive!), I gave up testing. Got my braces instead...hehehe...

I took the test when I felt like my body is just not in tune (hmmm what better words to describe it, ya?). And my breasts felt more tender than my usual PMS for more than 1 week but no period yet. Oh ya, and I dreamt that I was pregnant before testing...annnddd one of my colleague also had a dream too. Weird, isn't it? But I didn't inform my husband because if it's negative, at least he won't feel dissapointed (his biological clock is ticking, too huhuhu) and I wouldn't feel so bad.

When the two lines appeared, I think I went a bit panicky (eventhough I DO want to get pregnant) and spend another 10 minutes inside the loo. Finally when I told hub the news he really comforted me. Visited clinic on the 8th week.

Isn't it funny that before I found out I was pregnant, I was totally find and normal (except for those super tender breasts)? When for a scan and next thing I knew I started to have all those typical symptoms:

  1. I hate the smell of anything being cook especially garlic (spent fortunes eating out for almost 5 months!)
  2. I totally hate chicken. Just thinking of it make me feel bluek bluek. Ditto for eggs.
  3. Break outs on my face.
  4. I don't have appetite most of the time. End up looking anorexic, very the bidak what with my braces and all...
  5. Indigestion, heartburn and gas.
  6. Totally hate the taste of sausage and cheese sandwiches that used to be my fave breakfast.
  7. Waking up 5 times at night to the loo.
  8. Exhausted most of the time because of no. 6.
  9. Totally weird and vivid dreams.
But I guess I can still consider myself lucky because I didn't get morning sickness or vomiting. Oh, and my best friend said my breasts are big. I take that as a compliment because before this cup A ja...hehehe

Dear Diary,...

I'm baaack...I started this blog last year to record the improvement of my teeth. But then I got lazy. To the point that I forgot all about it.

So...what happen? I got pregnant. Yes, I'm pregnant with braces. 23 weeks.

Then I started to surf the net on pregnancy and I found lots of blog including some of my long time friends' (which I haven't been in contact for so long because I just suck at keeping in contact). Their blogs remind me that I need to write my experiences not only as a reminder but also to keep track on whats not to be repeated, to be improved or a totally brilliant idea.

I was sooo addicted to blog hopping. A8 started to membebel everytime he saw me in front of the PC.

"Ko bikin la bah blog ko sendiri. Susah betul meh? Apa, malas? Ko ajar saya la, nanti saya kasi bikin ko....bla bla bla"

So rather than keep hearing bebelan yang sama, I strarted to contemplate a blog on pregnancy...But, wait! I have one already *slap forehead* Had to spent some time looking for my log in name and password...

Hehehe, so here I am. Again.
